性视界传媒 will host events at its Boca Raton, Davie and Jupiter campuses, as well as online, to celebrate Women鈥檚 History Month. The events are free and open to 性视界传媒students, faculty and staff.

The following events will take place at FAU鈥檚 Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road:

SAVI鈥檚 Women鈥檚 History Month Denim Drive
Monday, March 1 to Sunday, March 28
Collection Box Located in Student Union, Second Floor

Support survivors of interpersonal violence this month by joining SAVI in donating a pair of jeans to the organization Women in Distress.听


Women and Gender Equity Resource Center Weekly Discussion
Tuesday, March 2 to Tuesday, March 30 at 2 p.m.

Celebrate Women鈥檚 History Month every Tuesday with 性视界传媒student staff and learn more about gender equity and the skills necessary to overcome socialized barriers. Topics will include imposter syndrome, negotiation and taking credit, financial health and more.听

National Organization of Women (NOW): Violence Against Women General Body Meeting
Tuesday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m.

Join 性视界传媒NOW to discuss violence against women. This event is an open discussion via zoom on ways to create safe spaces for women or people of marginalized genders and how gender roles and society expectations play a role in violence against womxn.


鈥楾he Condor & the Eagle鈥� with Casey Camp-Horinek
Thursday, March 4 at 2 p.m.

Join FAU鈥檚 Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Center in this film screening and filmmaker Q&A to explore how women are shaping the contemporary Indigenous movement for climate justice.

Comadres Circle Lunch
Monday, March 8 at noon

The lunch will unite Hispanic/Latinx faculty, staff, and student women to examine their identities as it relates to the decisions they made to be the women they are today. Attendees will identify skills to overcome socio-cultural barriers as it pertains to womanhood and career development.

Student Resource Scavenger Hunt
Thursday, March 11 at 11 a.m.

Join Generation Action and other RSO groups in a cross-campus scavenger hunt. Students will be connected to resources as part of our Sexual Assault Awareness Campaign, and participants who complete the scavenger hunt will receive prizes.

Womxn's History Movie Night: Featuring 鈥楾he Assistant鈥�
Thursday, March 18 at 7 p.m.

Join Women & Gender Equity Resource Center and GenAction for a virtual movie night and student led discussion.

Career Pathways in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies
Tuesday, March 23 at 11 a.m.

Learn about career opportunities in women, gender, and sexuality studies in collaboration with Florida International University. Panelists will discuss their career pathways and data on WGSS careers will be discussed.

Annual Womxn鈥檚 Leadership Institute
Saturday, March 27 at 10 a.m.

The Annual Womxn鈥檚 Leadership Institute (WLI) raises awareness on issues womxn face and provides networking opportunities for students, staff, and faculty. This year鈥檚 institute will offer the opportunity for participants to express themselves and work together to forge a stronger community.

Be Prepared with 性视界传媒NOW: Discussion of Reproductive Rights
Tuesday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m.

Join FAU鈥檚 National Organization for Women for a discussion on reproductive rights. Topics include bodily autonomy, reproductive access laws that impact all people, contraception options, and discussions of ways to destigmatize reproductive health.

SAVI will provide DIY activism magnets and prizes such as civic engagement T-shirts for those who answer a women's history month trivia question correctly.听

Caribbean Women Wear Capes, Too: Caribbean Women in History

This mixed in-person and virtual symposium will hear the first-hand research and career experiences from women that continue to succeed in academic and scientific industries.
