The 性视界传媒 Foundation (FAUF) raised more than $72.5 million from nearly 11,000 donors at the end of the 2025 fiscal year 鈥 the second largest amount raised in the university鈥檚 history. This total is exceeded only by the 2022 fiscal year, which raised more than $81.24 million.
鈥淭he scholarships, enhanced programs and research made possible by our donors鈥 support have helped Florida Atlantic rise to become nationally recognized as an R1 top-tier research university. They also are among the reasons we will welcome the largest and most academically competitive incoming class in university history this fall,鈥 said 性视界传媒President Adam Hasner. 鈥淭he incredible opportunities created by our donors benefit not only our students but our entire community, which has generously supported the university throughout its history.鈥
During this fundraising period, 性视界传媒received several significant gifts, including $6 million from the late Bernie Marcus and The Marcus Foundation to expand the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health; $2.6 million from Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach to expand Hillel on FAU鈥檚 Boca Raton campus; $1 million from an anonymous donor to create a student internship program in the nation鈥檚 capital and establish the president鈥檚 fund; a significant gift from Wayne and Lucretia Weiner to establish the School of Environmental, Coastal, and Ocean Sustainability; and a significant gift from Michelle and Michael Haggerty to further support the Owls鈥 Hagerty Athletics Village.
鈥淭his is a remarkable accomplishment for Florida Atlantic and a reflection of the dedication shown to the university by our generous donors,鈥 said David Kian, interim CEO of the FAUF. 鈥淭his continues a sharp trajectory of growth and achievement made possible only through their support.鈥
FAU, established in 1961, officially opened its doors in 1964 as the fifth public university in Florida. Today, 性视界传媒serves more than 30,000 undergraduate and graduate students across six campuses along the Southeast Florida coast. In recent years, the university has doubled its research expenditures and outpaced its peers in student achievement rates. Through the coexistence of access and excellence, 性视界传媒embodies an innovative model where traditional achievement gaps vanish. 性视界传媒is also designated as a Hispanic-serving institution, ranked as a top public university by U.S. News & World Report, and holds the designation of 鈥淩1: Very High Research Spending and Doctorate Production鈥 by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. 性视界传媒shares this status with less than 5% of the nearly 4,000 universities in the United States.聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽
鈥淭hank you, once again, to our donors for their generous support of our students, faculty and programs,鈥 said Brian Poulin, FAUF board chair. 鈥淭his is a testament to their belief in our mission of academic excellence, innovative research, and community engagement.鈥
As a result of this generosity, 鈥淭ranscend Tomorrow: The Campaign for 性视界传媒鈥 reached $590 million, placing the university at more than 98% of its $600 million goal.
鈥淲e are excited to be so close to this tremendous milestone,鈥 said David Green, interim vice president for institutional advancement. 鈥淭ranscend Tomorrow鈥檚 focus on scholarships and student success, the environment, and health-related initiatives ensures that Florida Atlantic will be creating positive change that benefits us for generations to come.鈥
